1960s Omega Dynamic Vintage Mens Cal. 565 Racing Dial Watch - Stainless Steel Beautiful Restored Condition - Interesting and Distinctive - 100% Omega Created in 1967 by Omega Sales Director Robert Forster, the Dynamic is a wonderful example of true retro style. The sleek and functional watch, a considerable success for Omega, had a number of design elements that set it apart: An ellipse shape with a recessed crown determined to be the best geometric shape for the wrist, determined after careful study. Easy-to-read dial with âtime zoneâ headings. The dial on this example is done in a racing style with 1/5 second markings for precise timekeeping for racing, aviation or other professional uses. Unicoc housing with hermetically sealed crystal and waterproof up to 30 m deep. Available with a stainless steel bracelet or easily interchangeable water-resistant Cor-fam bracelets. According to an Omega advertisement from the time, âThe shape of the Omega Dynamic was determined by the anatomy of your wrist; its dial by the functioning of your eyes; it focuses on the physiology of your skin."" We are happy to offer you this first generation Dynamic. The first generation of the watch lasted from 1968 to 1970. We love its racing style dial with orange minute/seconds markings As one of the first Dynamics, before Omega switched to using the 1000 series movements for the line, it is powered by Omega's high quality Caliber 565 movement. Omega's premier movement, one of the last top 500 series movements used before Omega began trying to cut costs, was the high end 500 series offering. It has 24 jewels and a date. quick-set and is arguably the best mass-produced automatic movement of the era. It has all of its original parts and has just completed a true, expertly done restoration. Condition is approximately 9.7 or 9.8. out of 10. Its steel case is near perfect with all of its original markings heavily intact. Its dial has been meticulously refurbished â its impression could pass to the naked eye as that of an Omega factory. And its beautiful Omega manual winder has just been serviced by a Master Watchmaker. After more than half a century, it continues to perform very solidly and faithfully, keeping time essentially on par with a brand new Omega in our test recording position. A Dynamic more than fifty years old that looks like new on the wrist! Note: An example of this watch is in the Omega Museum and a published example can be found in Marco Richon's Omega: A Journey Through Time, 2007, p. 483.
